Four Greater Atlanta Christian School Students Accepted into NAfME All-National Honor Chorus

GAC Chorus Students

Four Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC) students have been accepted into the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All-National Honor Chorus.

Sydney Barbour (rising sophomore), Aiden Daniels (rising junior), Lorelei Osborne (rising junior) and Laila Washington (rising sophomore) have been selected for this prestigious chorus. Acceptance into the ensemble is one of the finest achievements for a high school choral student in the United States, according to NAfME’s website and reputation.

For the students to gain acceptance into the honor chorus, they were first required to be accepted into the Georgia All-State Chorus, a process that involves multiple rounds of auditions to demonstrate various musical skills and knowledge. They were then selected from amongst the other All-State tier students who applied to the All-National Chorus via video audition.

In November, the students will participate in a three-day clinic with other top student choristers in the country under the baton of internationally renowned director Frances Fonza. The clinic will culminate with a performance at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
