Norcross Art Splash, the Festival with Personality, Will Hit the Streets Again!

Norcross Splash T Shirt

The downtown streets of Historic Norcross will once again come alive with fun and oh-so-cool artists’ booths for this year’s Norcross Art Splash Festival. The award-winning annual event, Oct. 1 – 2, will offer colorful and whimsical exhibitor displays in front of the downtown shops and restaurants.

Splash Festivals, producers of the event, held the festival last year in Lillian Webb Park but decided to return to its roots in the magical downtown district this year.

“We are so fortunate to have the ambiance and charming Americana feel of Historic Norcross, and we wanted festivalgoers to enjoy strolling along the train-lined streets. Visitors come from all over metro Atlanta and beyond to see our beautiful town,” explained Cindy Flynn, Splash Festivals co-owner and Norcross resident. Flynn added that Historic Norcross is a real gem in Gwinnett County, and artists love the friendly volunteers and buyers!

Patti Long, this year’s featured artist from Knoxville, Tennessee, created a happy ostrich with loads of character, perfect for the volunteer t-shirts. Her company, Cheerful Heart Art, is all about bringing smiles to the faces of new customers and repeat fans – who can’t seem to get enough of her quirky critters.

Patrons can look forward to vendors selling handmade clay, jewelry, woodwork, metal art, fiber, mixed media, folk art, culinary treats, photography, glass and so many more unique finds. Georgia Grown members will showcase their goods during the weekend, and customers can expect to find some real treats from these welcoming folks.

Fun food trucks will serve up delicious festival cuisine, so attendees are urged to come hungry.

The always-exciting Kidz Zone will have thrilling inflatables and creative crafts for youngsters and the young at heart.

And, of course, Norcross Art Splash Festival loves Chairs for Charity, which is a wonderful exhibit of decorated chairs (and other goodies) from local students who look forward each October to selling their special creations to raise money for their schools.

Festival hours are Saturday, Oct. 1, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 2, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information on volunteer opportunities, parking and sponsorship, visit www.SplashFestivals.com.
