On Friday, Sept. 22, Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC) had the honor of hosting the Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) Korean Christian Children’s Choir. The group of 40 talented young performers delivered a message of international Christian unity and gratitude.
The choir members, ages 7 to 13, undergo an audition process and receive voice, performance and choreography training. The choir’s performances feature colorful costumes and traditional Korean dance.
The visit to GAC took place the day after the choir’s arrival from South Korea and was a reminder of the global connection among Christians.
While in the United States, the choir will visit five states and 20 cities. Jeongmin Lee, Seoul Team Supervisor, said the group wants to return every year so the children can experience GAC’s hospitality.
During their visit, the children from the choir shared their musical talents and had the opportunity to tour the GAC campus.
They were interested in the state-of-the-art technology, abundant resources, the incorporation of the Bible within the curriculum and the friendly student body at GAC.
The event served as a reminder of the impact of faith and the bonds connecting Christians worldwide. It was a day of cultural exchange, music and camaraderie as the Korean Christian Children’s Choir visited the GAC community.
“I was truly moved by the remarkable performance of the Korean Christian Children’s Choir. The choir’s amazing presentation was a testament to the power of music and faith to bridge cultures and create connection,” Dr. Scott Harsh, GAC President, said.
“What I loved most was seeing members of the choir and our GAC students forge an immediate bond of friendship. We look forward to welcoming them back to campus for another visit,” he added.
