Lanier Islands Doubles New Year’s Eve Fun

The Lanier Islands lakeside resort will host not one but two parties to ring in the New Year. The first, is a family-friendly gathering at the resort’s year-round indoor entertainment destination, the Game Changer. The second event is a more traditional, adults-only celebration in the Grand Ballroom at Legacy Lodge.

“For couples and families seeking a memorable way to flip the calendar page from 2023 to 2024, we invite them to ring in the New Year at Lanier Islands,” said Matthew Bowling, Vice President of Islands Management Company.

“Both parties will showcase a special blend of great entertainment, great service, and great food for which our resort has become so well-known. We’ve designed some imaginative accommodation packages that make it easy to keep the focus on fun while avoiding the roads and staying safe,” he added.

2023 New Year’s Eve celebration

Headlined by The Moxie Band, Legacy Lodge guests ages 21 and over will enjoy an evening of dancing, dining and drinks that includes a buffet, an open bar, and a champagne toast at midnight in the Grand Ballroom.

This accommodations package includes:

  • Luxury overnight accommodations,
  • 2 tickets to the New Year’s Eve party and dinner buffet,
  • Open bar during the party,
  • Champagne toast at midnight,
  • New Year’s Day brunch for two and
  • Late check out on New Year’s Day.

Game Changer NYE gala

This family-friendly option will be hosted from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the resort’s new indoor playground that features 23,000 square feet of arcade games, axe throwing, an escape room, virtual sports bays, challenge golf and an on-site eatery.

Scheduled to coincide with the London ball drop at 8 p.m. EST, the Game Changer event will include a moon balloon, ball drop on the big screen, balloon drop, sparkling grape juice toast and lots of kid-focused fun and games. While attending this event does not require an overnight stay, those families who wish to turn their New Year’s Eve celebration into a staycation may want to consider one of the following accommodation packages.

  • Winter Family Fun Package: Features deluxe overnight accommodations, breakfast at Sidney’s for each guest on the package reservation and passes to Margaritaville’s License to Chill Snow Island for each guest on the package reservation .
  • The Ultimate Gaming Package: Features deluxe overnight accommodations, a $100 Game Changer play card, a $20 voucher to use toward virtual suites, challenge golf or food and beverage at Game Changer, breakfast for up to four guests and 24-hour resort cart rental.
