5 Upcoming Exhibits, Events and Workshops at Norcross Gallery and Studios

Norcross Gallery and Studios is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in downtown Norcross at 116 Carlyle St.

This summer, Norcross Gallery and Studios has several special events on the agenda.

1. Kaleidoscope, a collaborative show of selected member’s works is ongoing until Saturday May 18.

Among the featured pieces is “Amethyst Meditation” by Victoria Gibson. This striking creation, reminiscent of a sparkling geode, incorporates genuine amethyst stones. Gibson says the piece is “made with positive energy, and real Amethyst stones, to feel a balance and continuous flow of energy to your Crown Chakra.”

“Cosmos on a Cosmos” by Barbara Fraher is a vibrant work of art with a unique juxtaposition. Supernovas, dwarf stars, and a pulsar from the vast cosmos find themselves intertwined with a single garden flower. Fraher employs the alla prima technique, utilizing pure pigments to bring this celestial scene to life.

2. The second annual Reflections at the Rectory is a student show with works by 39 students taking Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Art from Norcross High School and Paul Duke STEM High School. The creations will be on view at the Rectory from May 10 to May 18.

3. Opening at the gallery on May 23 will be a juried exhibition called Pigments of the Imagination, which will run through July 6.

4. Artists of the Month of May at 45South Cafe are Larry Hall and Kathy Collins. The public is invited to attend their reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. The Artist of the Month for June will be Terry Stone.
