The 6th Annual Paladin Pacer 5K Trail Race and Fun Run will take place on Saturday, September 14, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Academy. Registration is now open.

This fun-filled event supports the academy’s students and teachers and provides a beautiful opportunity for the local community to come together for friendly competition. Priests and consecrated women will be among the runners and walkers, alongside students and adults of all ages. Cross country athletes from around metro Atlanta will also participate.

The Paladin Pacer began in 2019 as a 5K road race along Peachtree Parkway in Cumming. The event was moved onto the Pinecrest campus in 2022 and transitioned to a trail race event. The cross-country trail on the PA campus has proven to be a perfect location, with great scenery and an interesting route that includes lush foliage, grass, dirt trails and some challenging hills — including “Sanctity Hill,” well known by Pinecrest cross country athletes!

The Fun Run portion of the event is a three-lap, one-mile trek around the school driveway. Ideal for children and walkers, it’s also the perfect option for those who prefer a slower-paced, leisurely race experience.

2024 sponsors

A variety of sponsors will be on-site for the event, including Big Peach Running Company (a Pacer supporter since its inception), the Forsyth County Sheriff’s OfficeKratz Chiropractic and Woof Gang of Johns Creek. Event organizers are also pleased to welcome Subaru of Gwinnett as their platinum sponsor for 2024.

All Paladin Pacer participants will receive a race t-shirt. And the event will wrap up with awards being presented, recognizing overall and age-group winners.
