College basketball player and Norcross High School class of 2020 honor graduate, Jada Warren, is a prime example of a dedicated and thriving scholar-athlete.
At NHS, she not only excelled in basketball, she also lettered in track, volunteered in the community and took all honors and AP classes.
Now, having already earned her undergrad degree in exercise science at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Warren will add a master’s in health and human performance at the end of this semester and then plans to pursue physical therapy and obtain a PhD.
Accolades on and off the court
Warren’s academic success is rivaled only by her success on the basketball court. The 2024-25 season, in particular, has been a breakout one for the award-winning athlete.
On February 8, she broke GCSU’s record for career rebounds — one that had stood since 1988. She also leads all of NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball in rebounding this season.
Combine this on-court effort with well-earned honors such as the Peach Belt Conference’s nomination for NCAA Woman of the Year, leadership roles in both the Black Student Alliance and Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. and a cabinet position in the Student Government Association, and you have a shining scholar-athlete — one who celebrates her achievements and the school that she attends.
“Georgia College has meant everything to me,” Warren said. “I know that’s a bit of a cliché to say. … You can put your name in any room that you want it to be in, and I think that’s what has excelled my experience.”
