Read the June/July Digital Edition of Southwest Gwinnett Magazine

Cover of the June/July issue of Southwest Gwinnett magazine with the magazine name at the top, Heart of Norcross in white type at the bottom and a photo of a man and woman with their three kids in front of brew tanks at Cultivation Brewery.

The June/July issue of Southwest Gwinnett magazine is out now and full of some of the people, places and events that make Southwest Gwinnett special.

Our feature — Heart of Norcross — introduces you to 10 incredible residents who contribute to the city’s charm and spirit of community. You’ll also meet mosaic artist Jennifer Freeman and learn more about her life and stunning public art pieces on display in Duluth and around metro Atlanta.

Local business owners share their top tips on building and evolving your brand, high school artists are recognized with a Reflections at the Rectory exhibit and a local Girl Scout troop makes it their mission (and Bronze Award project) to clean up and breathe new life into the Simpsonwood Park labyrinth — all captured in words and photos.

Readers will also get a sneak peek at Cirque du Soleil’s OVO, opening at Gas South Arena on August 7, and will learn more about the Norcross water polo team that’s rallying community support.

In addition to the fantastic features, we’ve put together another great local events calendar with upcoming concerts, activities and July 4th celebrations you won’t want to miss! And we’ve closed out the issue with Opening Bites — a new column that showcases a few of the new restaurants, menu debuts and culinary happenings around town.
