Local photographers are invited to capture the essence of Norcross in a snap for this fun fall competition!

Norcross Gallery & Studios will host a special ‘Our Home Is Your Home’ photo competition from Saturday, September 21 through Sunday, October 20 to showcase the city through all four seasons.

Whether you’re an amateur or pro photographer — using a smartphone or a professional camera — the gallery (and the city) wants to see the world through your lens.

There’s no fee to enter, and submitted photos will be displayed at both Norcross City Hall and at the gallery. Top photos will also receive prizes and ribbons. According to a release about the contest, participants are not required to be residents of Norcross, but the town must be shown in each photo.

Sponsors for the event include the City of Norcross, Georgia Council for the Arts, the Norcross Public Arts Commission (NPAC), the National Endowment for the Arts, April MacManus of Keller Williams Chattahoochee North, Advanced Color Imaging (ACI) of Norcross and Explore Gwinnett.

Formerly known as Kudzu Gallery and Studios, Norcross Gallery & Studios is an organization of volunteer artists whose focus is on the support and advancement of local art and artists throughout the community.

Through a partnership with the City of Norcross, the gallery was able to secure a brick and mortar site for continued growth. They now host regular workshops and special events along with annual member-only exhibitions that allow artists to share their work. Norcross Gallery & Studios exhibitions and receptions are always free and accessible to the public.

An entry link for the photo competition will be available on the gallery’s website starting Saturday, September 21.
